The attic access ladder features weather stripping that will reduce drafts and other types of air leaks. This ladder is designed with powder-coated steel stairs and protective floor bumpers at the ends of the fold-away attic stairs that will keep floors from getting scratched. This attic ladder is designed with a .5 inch unpainted finished plywood door and built-in 1.25 inch steel trim that requires no ceiling molding. In case of power failure, the ladder can be manually operated.
